Classic White Pearl Heart Wedding Invitations

 

 

It really is very easy to make your own wedding invitations! I love this design which is both simple to make and extremely cost effective!

 

 

 

The invitation has been made using a silver embossed classic white wedding invitation.  Simply stick three white pearl heart beads down the centre of the invitation using a strong PVA glue.

 

 

 

Tie a length of white organza ribbon around the invitation, knot it twice and snip the ends with sharp scissors to resemble a bow.

 

The invitations come with matching envelopes and inserts which can be easily printed at home and slipped under the ribbon inside to hold in place.

 

It really is that easy!!!

Love Monogram

 

It really is very easy to customise this wooden 'Love' monogram to perfectly match your colour scheme for your wedding and makes a perfect gift for the happy couple.

 

 

 

 

I have painted the monogram using Opal Jo Sonja paint, but you can use any colour you wish!

 

 

 

I have then applied a delicate napkin to the monogram using Jo Sonja All Purpose Sealer. Simply separate the napkin and use the very top layer, load your brush with All Purpose Sealer and 'paint' your napkin to the monogram, starting from the middle and working out...it really is that easy!! Use plenty of the sealer to apply your napkin...and don't worry it dries clear!

 

 

 

I have then applied Kaisercraft Clear gems to the monogram. They are self adhesive and easy to apply.

 

 



 



I have added a rub on to finish my monogram, but you could customise in any way you please...why not try stamping the date or the happy couples new surname!

Rose Kraft Wedding Invitation

Kraft card and lace is a big hit with brides at the moment...add some pearls and roses and you have a definite vintage look!

 

 

I have used some delicate lace together with a pink satin ribbon and self adhesive flat backed pearls........gorgeous and so easy to achieve! Simply stick your lace with double sided tape, then stick the satin ribbon over the top of the lace to cover your tape.

 

The flower stems have been wound around a cocktail stick to make them look more interesting, and then tied with a lovely white organza bow. I have then stuck them to the ribbon with a strong permanent double sided tape (you could use a glue gun if you prefer, but I find them a little messy!).

 



 

Add some self adhesive pearls to the ribbon...and you have a simple but stunning wedding invitation! It could also be used as a special birthday card or a card for the happy couple!

Perfect Just As I Am

My daughters favourite colour is Pink (like mother like daughter!), so I enjoyed making her a perfectly Pink page! 

I used papers from the Dovecraft Tea Party collection...I do love using papers from a collection as they co ordinate perfectly, without having to give it too much thought!

 

 

Freyja loves buttons and is always pinching mine and squirreling them away somewhere, so it made perfect sense to use some pretty pink ones to frame the photo.

 

 

Heart shaped doilies create an instant lacey effect and look great with the tape measure paper from Kaisercrafts Stitch in Time collection.

 

 

I have cut the Kaisercraft  'Perfect Just as I am' to fit my layout...its worth remembering that you don't have to use sentiments as they are,  they can be cut to perfectly fit your page!

 

 

 

Paper punches are a great way of embellishing a page...I love that I can use papers that perfectly co ordinate with the rest of my page! I have used the Tonic Studio Multi Detail flower punch to cut pairs of flowers, and shaped them slightly to add depth to the page.

 

 



 

 

Stunning pastel paper flowers have been arranged around the photo on the page to give the ultimate feminine touch!

I Love You More Scrapbook Page

When we got married 4 years ago I told the photographer I didn't need an album as I was going to do it myself...I haven't got very far!

 

The beautiful new papers from the Kaisercraft Needle & Thread collection were enough to inspire me to complete page 2!

 

 

Not only are the papers gorgeous, but you can utilise nearly every scrap...including the strip at the bottom of the page! I cut the title and spotty heart from the papers and added my favourite buttons. I couldn't resist adding the kaisercraft pearl swirl (I got the pearls on the page this time!).

 

 

 

 

The roses framing the photograph have also been cut from a piece of paper.

 

 

 

I have punched the butterflies and added pearls in the centre to finish the page.

 

 

 

 

Paper flowers and more pearls frame the photograph.

My Favourite Butterfly

I'm in love with this Butterfly die...it is so versatile and very pretty!

 

I have to admit that as the Die is so intricate, it has taken a little practise getting it to cut successfully every time...the trick is to use a cardboard shim with your cutting plates.

 

To make this invitation I simply cut two butterflies, stuck them together with a little PVA and added some self adhesive pearls... I'm really pleased with the finished effect, its cost effective, easy and very pretty!

I'm currently cutting 180 of these beauties for a bride to use on her wedding tables (a perfect rainy day job!) It's definitely worth the effort as I know they will look stunning with a few pearls and some clear table sprinkles...

Lilac Rose Pocket Fold

Good morning...and what a lovely morning it is too! The sun is shining and it feels like spring is finally on it's way. 

I have been speaking to lots of brides this week, who are looking for inspiration to make their own wedding invitations. The trick is to keep it simple so that your invitations look 'handmade' not 'homemade' and wow your guests!

 

This invitation is just that!

 

 

I love these Pearlised Pocket Wedding Invitations, they are cut from heavy weight cardstock and are absolutely gorgeous...they ooze quality!

 

You only need to add a few embellishments to create a simple yet stunning invitation. I have used all my favourite things...lace, organza, satin and flowers (if you know me well you might notice that I haven't added any pearls on this one!)

 

Stick the lace to your invitation first using a double sided tape, add a satin ribbon to hide the tape at the top of the lace and tie an organza ribbon around the invitation, catching the paper rose in the ribbon bow...easy!!

 

Your invitation details can then be printed and mounted on the inside of the wallet...this is easily done on a home printer. I favour the 'Pristina' font and always print in dark grey so that it doesn't look too harsh.
