Christmas is upon us and we wanted to show you this gorgeous glass dish and candle decorated using Napkins and Jo Sonja paints and mediums. The candle looks great stood on the glass dish and would be the perfect finishing touch to any Christmas table. It makes a fab gift and is so easy to do....
Materials required for the glass dish
Jo Sonja’s Glass and Tile Medium parts A and B
Background Paint Colour if required
Serviettes
Soft brush/sponges
Clean the glass using the Glass and Tile Medium Part A.
Separate the tissues into the fine layers. Tear the tissue to give you the patterns that you wish to use. A torn edge makes it easier to blend the pieces together...the fine print on the middle layer can be used to give a shadow design.
Apply the serviette to the glass using the Glass and Tile Medium Part B. Load the brush with plenty of medium and brush from the centre of the tissue to the outside.
Once the design is completed leave to dry.
If you with to paint the glass, apply the paint using a ratio of 2 parts paint to 1 part Glass & Tile Part B. Leave to dry.
Materials required for the candle
Jo Sonja’s All Purpose Sealer
Serviettes
Soft brush
Prepare serviette as before. Apply the serviette to the candle using the APS. Load the brush with plenty of medium and brush from the centre of the tissue to the outside.
Once the design is completed leave to dry.
Finish the candle with ribbon, gems, opal dust – as you wish.
