Applique Wedding Wallet Tutorial

Today I thought I would share a Wedding Wallet invitation tutorial with you...it is so easy to create stunning handcrafted invitations that you can be proud of!

Stick double sided tape around the invitation wallet, ensuring that you fold as you go so that the tape is not too tight.

Remove a little of the tape at a time and attach the ribbon, starting under the flap and finishing under the pocket to ensure a neat finish.

Use double sided tape on the pocket flaps to stick together.

Attach a velcro dot over the edge of the ribbon to ensure a neat finish.

Use permanent double sided tape to stick the flower embellishment to your invitation.

Now you have a stunning invitation to send to your guests...they won't believe that you have made it yourself!

Happy Easter Everybody!

Nicky Hayden and I had great fun decorating this Easter tree which is currently on display in Flutterby Crafts! It was a lovely way to while away the morning and we enjoyed playing with paints, ribbons and sparkle...

These wooden hanging Easter shapes are wonderful to decorate...they even look good plain and would look lovely hanging from the trees in the garden...

They were so easy to paint using Jo Sonja paints.

I wish you a very Happy Easter...enjoy the long weekend and I hope the Easter Bunny stops by your way!

Bring Me Sun - Scrapbook Layout

As it was my daughters birthday yesterday and we saw a little bit of sunshine today, it seemed appropriate to share this scrapbook page with you!

I love the colours and patterns on the Grace Taylor alphabet stickers, you can't beat Polka Dot ribbon...and who doesn't like a bit of pink!

I adore Kaisercraft papers and they have come up trumps again with the beautiful Secret Admirer collection. The colours are fresh and bright and the papers co ordinate perfectly together...both sides of the paper are equally gorgeous, which of course means buying two of everything! Even the strips on the bottom of the papers can be used...

I think Freyja is a little optimistic with her sunglasses! I have used the photograph as a pocket for my hidden journaling as I wanted the page to look bold and uncluttered (easily done...just remember to only stick three sides of the photograph to the page).

Buttons and bunting are two of my favourite things and I couldn't resist adding both to my layout! The bunting has been punched from coordinating papers and hot pink buttons add a bit of interest and depth to the lay out.

Thanks for stopping by...let me know what you think!

A Cadbury Purple Wedding

Today I'm sharing Rob and Leanne's wedding with you.

I found a beautiful vintage style mirror in the January sales...and knew exactly what I wanted to do with it! I had the opportunity to turn it into a table plan for the lovely Leanne's wedding a few weeks ago.

/

The great thing about using a mirror is that we can dress it again and again...so I'm hoping it will feature at lots more weddings!

Leanne's wedding colour scheme was Purple and Silver and I had lots of fun transforming the Papier Mache table numbers into glitzy centre pieces...it's a good job the gems are self adhesive...I lost count of how many I used!

Space Was limited on the tables so the Favour Boxes (filled with Love Hearts) were also used as place settings.
All these ideas are simple, proving you really can have a beautiful DIY wedding!

Peppa Pig Treat Table

I haven't posted to our blog for a long long time...and I have absolutely no excuses to give you!

I thought I would get back into the world of blogging by sharing with you the Peppa Pig themed treat table I created with Pink Tea Parties and Millzies Cakes.

It was so much fun to create...and like my daughter Pink and spots are amongst my favourite things!

The cake created by Milzies Cakes was absolutely stunning and thoroughly deserved centre stage on the table. I had a quick discussion with Lelanie about the cake and she created just what I had in mind...it's so beautiful that we haven't yet been able to cut it!

The wellie boots (because Peppa loves splashing in muddy puddles!) are pottery boots covered in Napkins using my favourite Jo Sonja All Purpose Sealer...so easy yet so effective. The beautiful Marshmallow Pops made by Lea from Pink Tea Parties sit perfectly in them!

Beautiful Cake Pops decorated with bows and also made by Pink Tea Parties sit pretty at the front of the table...and they were delicious!

The paper Windmills sitting in the Dolly Mixture buckets were so easy to make...and I might even show you one day, if you would like!

All of the stationery was made with my own fair hands, including the straws sitting in the 'Muddy Puddles' Milk bottles

Take a look at Millzies Cakes and Pink Tea Parties for a closer look at the lovely ladies work...so talented!
