Precious Heart

I really enjoy turning a plain wooden object into something pretty! Wooden hearts are my favourite and are so versatile. This pretty heart could be adapted to suit a number of occasions...a gift for the blushing bride, d├ęcor for the wedding venue, a christening or birthday gift...

I painted the wooden heart blank using Opal Jo Sonja acrylic paint and a sponge to avoid brushstrokes.

When the paint was dry I applied self adhesive pearls and a Kaisercraft rub-on.  The sentiment can be adapted to suit, you could also try stamping your own sentiment or maybe the bride and grooms initials using individual letter stamps.

I finished the heart with some paper roses (attached with a glue gun) and some rustic garden twine.
A quick and easy project with results you can be proud of every time!
I would love to know what you think...

  1. I love the simplicity of this project. By just changing the colours and the sentiment it would give this project a different look.....beautiful.
