'My Girl' Canvas

This is one of my favourite photographs of my daughter...Strawberries are her favourite thing to eat, and she was in her element when we took her to pick her own on a recent holiday. It was the perfect picture choice for my first attempt at a canvas!

I painted the canvas with Jo Sonja paint and then enjoyed flicking co-ordinating paint colours to create a fantastic splattered effect...it was very therapeutic!

I used a selection of Kaisercraft 12" x 12"papers from the Butterfly Kisses collection, to create my 'layout'. This paper range features beautiful bright colours, pretty birds and butterflies and is perfect for any girly project.

I love paper windmills (and buttons!), they are such fun and make a fabulous 3d embellishment.

The great thing about working on a canvas is that you can create 3d embellishments, without the fear of them getting squashed in an album. I used the tonic studio Butterfly punch to create these stunning butterflies...

The wooden letters were also painted using Jo Sonja paint

I don't know how she resisted it, but she didn't sample any of the lovely fruit she was picking!!

Thanks for stopping by!
